If you don’t keep reading, you might think “if Mississippi doesn’t want you, you really fucked up“ is the message coming out in this piece about Republican governors NIMBYing efforts to locate immigration detainment warehouses (concentration camps) in their states.
It’s not.
If you read on and keep your news awareness wits about you, you’ll remember that all threats and promises contain both guns and money.
The implied threat, as you’ll see further down, is jobs. When enough people lose their jobs due to AI contraction and the downstream effects of AI contraction (like, all the businesses that close as a result) not only republican governors but democratic governors as well will beg the administration to give them some camps.
In time, everybody will be in jail, at one end of the gun or the other. That’s how capitalism/fascism works.
